Where to Start

How to Start

In order to start this mod you need to cross the border; you must either convince the Imperial guard outside the gate at Pale Pass, south of Helgen, to let you through or find your way through Serpent's Trail Cave; you can also use a secret passage in Gromm's Pass or the one in Rielle Crypt.

Notes

You won't be allowed passage through the gate unless you are sided with the Imperial Legion or are recognized as having accomplished some great deed (such as becoming Harbringer of the Companions or fullfilling your duty as the Dragonborn); alternatively you can kill the guards or use an alternate route (Serpent's Trail or Gromm's Pass). Once you get to Cyrodiil, the border gates will be open from either side.

How to Start

In order to begin the mod you will need to steal or pickpocket something; after that you will experience a vision that triggers The Call of the Gray Cowl quest.

Anywhere where there is something to steal.

Notes

The mod is focused around stealth gameplay and puzzles, but doesn't force any playstile. The Remnants of Hammerfell also take place in the Alik'r Desert. Another quest bundle further expands the exploration of Hammerfell. The mod introduces various artifacts with enchantments useful to locate valuables, chests and people.

Where to Start

How to Start

Talk with the khajiit near Falkreath and ask to travel with them to Elsweyr OR (if you are at least lv.18 and have at least 70 displays in the museum) wait for Aurelyn (the curator of the Dragonborn Museum in Solitude) to task you with recovering the staff of Indarys; you will receive a letter to investigate a Khajiit caravan that will lead you to Elsweyr.

Notes

The mod is bundled with the Legacy of the Dragonborn; if you have at least 70 displays in the Dragonborn Museum and are at least level 18, the curator will task you with recovering the staff of Indarys (This will start the quest "It Belongs in a Museum"); you will receive a letter to investigate a Khajiit caravan that will lead you to Elsweyr. You don't have to wait until you meet these requirements; you are free to start the mod as soon as you complete The Way of the Voice.

Notes

This mod is best to be played without followers. It's highly recommended to be at least level 40 when starting the story; Dawnbreaker can be particularly useful. The mod introduces the Karma mechanic related to your actions and will influence how the story goes. It's the first part of Vicn's Trilogy. The mod introduces MANY new conjuration spells. The Nails of St. Dulsa will grant a Perk Point; other alchemy items will also increase your attributes and carry weight permanently.

Where to Start

How to Start

To start Falskaar, go to Riften and speak with Jalamar. He will either be outside around the market, inside the northern gate, or inside the Bee and Barb. You can also just go straight into Echo Deep Mine, a new dungeon just northeast of Riften and find a lexicon there.

Notes

It's not recommended to start the mod too early in the playthrough since it could break the first cut-scene. New equipment and spells are not the focus of this mod, therefore not many were added.

Notes

The mod introduces Snippy a BB-8 (Star Wars) inspired Dwemer droid follower (more on the mod page) and the Aetherium Hyperspace Observatory (a mobile player house). How to Start

To properly start the mod's content you will have to decline Velehk's offer. After the battle you will be able to craft a special staff at the Atronach Forge. Alternatively, you can simply fuse the rings at the Atronach Forge for a different reward.

The quest doesn't appear in your journal. The rings needed to activate the gauntlet have been placed on the 4 missing apprentices. The mod does not add displyable items, however you will miss one if you decide to decline Velehk's offer.

How to Start

One quest is in Ben Erai, three in the new village Salas Kazas, one is north-west of the Lantern of the North, one is in the Retching Netch in Solstheim (but only once you finished the main quest of the Grey Cowl) and the final one can only be completed after you finish the quests with the Ash'abah, the ancient library and the necromancers. The final quest can be started after talking to the Ash'abah Honai, once all the required quests are finished. A crime system and prison are introduced.

Maraudeers' Hideout

How to Start

In order to unlock the various paths you will need to unveil Jaree-Ra's link with the Maraudeers; in order to do so you will have to search for proof at their hideout (Broken Oar Grotto); ask Ahtar the executioner and warden of the Castle Dour Dungeon for a pointer to such place.

Notes

The mod expands the quest Lights Out! (Talk to Jaree-Ra in Solitude to pick it up) allowing for more paths including killing Jaree-Ra, reporting him or even doubling down to join him in his "deed" with a renewed attitude. Depending on you choices, Jaree-Ra may become your follower.

The Crimson Dirks might be in hiding, but they've been bandits all their lives. They tend to leave trails of destruction. The quest integrates the Alternative Armor - Daedric Mail, Dwarven Mail, Ebony Plate, Elven Hunter, Stalhrim Fur, Steel Soldier and Studded Dragonscale Creations.

How to Start

To start the main quest you need to find and read the bounty letter for the Crimson Dirks. Near each of the locations you'd eventually end up fighting one of the Crimson Dirks, you'll find a dead bounty hunter with said letter and the Crimson Dirks' dossiers; or you can search for a Bounty Dispatch Strongbox at Castle Dour (Solitude) or the Penitus Oculatus Outpust (Dragon Bridge). The main quest branches into the various Alternative Armors Creations' quests.

Creations' Quests

The various sub-quests can be started by talking to innkeepers in Falkreath (Elven Hunter), Dragon's Bridge (Steel Soldier), Windhelm (Daedric Mail), Nightgate Inn (Studded Dragonscale), Ivarstead (Dwarven Mail) and Skaal Village in Solstheim (Stalhrim Fur); once you have disposed of the other dirks you will receive a letter for the final confrontation (Ebony Plate).

Notes

This mod does not add any display; all the alternative armors given as rewards by the dirks are enchanted and not displayable. The displayable variants can be found in random loot or crafted with the necessary perks.

Sir Areldur, a Knight of the Nine fearing Thalmor prosecution for the order's Talos worship, hid the Crusader's Relics north. Take up the cause of the Knights and reunite the Relics once more! This mod overhauls the quest from the Divine Crusader Creation.

Next to every relic from this mod is a journal and a note that will begin the quest. The author of the mod recommends starting with the place near the Tower Stone in Winterhold.

Notes

The displays from this mod expand those of the Divine Crusader Creation. The mod's armor and weapons are the same as the version of Legacy of the Dragonborn, as such, this mod's pieces will count towards the completion of the LotD's version of the quest which has specific quest markers you will lose. This mod is supposed to be played as a scavenger-hunt by using the hints from the journal of Sir Areldur and the Thalmor's Orders and does not have its own marked quest. Completing either this quest mod or the LotD's version (or a mixture of the two) will complete the Creation's displays.

How to Start

The various Specters are scattered across Dwemer Ruins. In order to start the big quest you will have to take down the 7 bosses across the various ruins and take their Cubes and the Unknown Contraption to Hrodulf's House in Solstheim. There, read the book.

Where to Start

Hrodulf's House is in the southern part of Solstheim between Kolbjorn Barrow and Fort Frosmoth towards the shore.

Details

Daedroths are randomly encountered in open areas and some caves similarly to trolls. They will drop a Spell Tome that teaches you how to summon them (there are 4 leveled versions)

How to Start

Head to the Summoning Stones in Morthal's swamp and find the Knapsack with the Call of the Marsh Spell Tome; use the spell on a corpse to teleport it to the Stones then wait 8 hours to make it turn into a Bogmort Thrall and speak to it to make it follow you.

Notes

In case the sacrificed NPC had quest items in their inventory they will be brought to the Strongbox near the knapsack. The Bogmort Thrall doesn't count against your follower limit as it's considered as an animal follower.
